Journey of an Oil Drop: From Source to Bottle
Before a drop of fragrance reaches your hands, it traveled a long and deep journey.
It begins in flower fields — in Grasse, southern France, or in Morocco's Valley of Roses, or in Egypt's jasmine gardens. There, flowers are harvested at dawn each day — because the oil in them reaches its highest concentration before sunrise.
Then comes the extraction journey — through steam, cold pressing, or enfleurage, depending on each flower's nature.
In the laboratory, drops of oils become a musical composition. Each note plays its role — the top note kisses the skin first, the heart note speaks the name, and the base note remains after you leave.
At ATHAR, we choose each oil as a word is chosen in a poem — with awareness, precision, and a sense of the trace left behind.
